What is Cider?

Cider is an alcoholic drink made from fermented crushed fruit, typically apples.

What is an Apple?

Is your Cider gluten free?

Yes, cider is naturally gluten free, and our cider is most definitely natural. Though none of our ciders currently contain gluten, there is always the possibility to add ingredients to our cider that contain gluten in them. Don't worry, if we ever do this, we'll make sure it is fully disclosed. We don't want you to accidentally consume the gluten-monster :).

Is your Cider the best?

Not a fair question, but we like to think so.

Is Cider Alcoholic?

Yes, at least, our cider is. Most fermented ciders in the US are somewhere between 4.5% and 8.5% ABV (Alcohol by volume), which is relatively close to your average beer's volume of alcohol.

I've had your Cider. Why does it taste so different than what I normally get at the bar?

We're glad you noticed. Our cider will always taste different than your run-of-the-mill (pun intended) cider at the bar. This is because we make our cider using traditional principles.

Our cider is fresh pressed, never from concentrate. We ferment our cider until there is zero residual sugar, age for several months, and then blend and slightly back sweeten. This creates a fresh, complex, dry cider with none of the unnatural flavors that you will taste in other products. That is why we think of ourselves as the Craft Beer of Cider.

Why are you making Cider?

Good question. What ARE we here for?

Posterity maybe? A desire to do something great? Or is it our deep longing need to make people like us?

Honestly, we're making cider because we LOVE cider. We are making it in Kansas City because we LOVE Kansas City, and we are sharing it with you because we truly like making you happy.
